Real Mountain Values started as a running joke between myself, Brianna Willis and my husband, Patrick. A certain politician ran a campaign that constantly discussed mountain values. To tell you the truth Patrick and I don't remember that much about the campaign other than every time we would see a sign or commercial we would discuss exactly what made up a mountain value... Shotgun weddings?

Actual Goals

In case you haven’t been able to tell Patrick and I spend a large amount of time on the interwebs.  So far our huge investment of mindlessly watching videos, reading articles, perusing photos, randomly blogging, and facebooking has paid us…well…nothing.  I figured if we put a quarter the amount of the time spent dicking around on the internet into actually providing a decent blog we might be able to then afford to dick around on the internet more.

That being said we have added a few ads to the sidebar.  Perhaps we will be able to actually pay for the blog hosting from our meager revenues.  Don’t worry!  We still aren’t receiving any awesome products or sponsorships.  However, I’m sure they will be beating down our door at any minute.  If we ever do get products or payment  we will be sure to let you know because I hate fake praise almost as much as real exercise.

More importantly than the Benjamins, we want to connect with our readers.  So in order to productively spend more time on Facebook and make ourselves accessible to everyone we are launching our own Facebook page.

Our goal is to have 100 ‘Likes’ by the end of May.  So if you enjoy what we write pass us on!

In keeping with the theme of actual content, I’m reserving Yard Farm as a place to post tutorials, information, and helpful hints that revolve around our processes of learning to DIY and be more self-sufficient.  So gardening, crafts, home decor, and eco-issues here I come.  If you want my random musings and narcissistic drivel you can catch the personal stuff over at the main Real Mountain Values page where Patrick will continue to titillate you with his ‘Wisdom Nuggets’.

So here’s to learning to not be procrastinatory slackers.  We haven’t gotten this lesson down pat in 30 years, but never say never.

Wait you are still here?  Then go ‘Like’ our Facebook page and say hi!
