So yesterday, as me, Brianna and the boy tried to get the shit-ton of paperwork together to re/apply for passports (which is a whole other post) for our trip to Mexico later this year, I decided to hit a few buttons on the wireless printer/copier/scanner that we have at home. Unfortunately, hitting said buttons apparently caused the desktop to think that the printer/copier/scanner was its own network, and therefore, decided not to work properly. Thankfully, I had to go the gym, and so it was up to Brianna to figure out what on earth happened.
Thankfully, Brianna is currently taking courses at the local college for an IT degree, and so this was a perfect opportunity for her to get some real-world experience in the comfy confines of our home.
Well, she did get it figured out finally, after what I assume was pushing a lot of buttons (and cursing even more at the machines). Mercifully, I was not here for her wrath, as I’m sure it would have looked something like this, only replace the printer with my head (WARNING: Not safe for work):
I can’t wait to hear all of the stories when she gets her degree about crazy setups, wires and hardware/software issues! At least she’ll be dealing with inanimate objects who won’t say anything stupid back to her…
